Workout Partner OR Trainer m4m I am looking to take this in one of two or both directions:
Workout Partner: Someone that is at a beginner phase of working out like i am. I am interested in cardio and weight training to take control of my physical health in % interested in jumping into the gym atmosphere right off the bat so I'm not oppsed to working out at your home or mine to begin with. I have tons of workout dvd's in every format that I can use as well as random free weights and other things. I've been trying to get up the motivation to do this for a while.
Workout Guru or Trainer: My excercise regimen is zilch and so is my knowledge level of weights, etc. I need motivation and accountability as well as knowledge. I am more than happy to turn over my phycisal fitness goals to someone and answer to them. Winter is tighter for me financially so if your a professional we would have to begin to do this slowly. In the late spring, summer and fall my income is much higher and i would ultimately like to workout with a professional who can monitor my goals and progress and push my limits two to three times a week. I am more than willing to be a guinea pig for a novice that needs to test their methods or expand their "portfolio" and would be very willing to provide testimony to any results we achieve. Again, I'm not estatic about jumping into a gym at he beginning as I still am a bit uncomfortable with myself but am willing to work towards that.
About me: I'm a professional 36 yo male who works about 55 hours a week. I have never been a big excercise person and have made pretty poor nutritional decisions for some time. I come from a family history of cancer, diabetes and heart health issues. I lost my father and a grandparent to cancer and two other grandparents to heart attacks and stroke. My mother is a cancer survivor but leads a very unhealthy lifestyle. Growing up positive diet and physical activity was not any part of what we were taught. Now that I'm hitting my mid 30's I am realizing that I've pretty much run out of "tommorrows" and am completely convinced I am at a now or never point that I need to embrace and make changes, but am hoping to find the knowledge and support to accomplish it.
I enjoy cooking healthy and eating healthy when I am in that mindset. I'm not afraid to have my limits pushed. I do have a slightly comptetive streak so working out with someone or under someone will help. I'm a good listener, hard worker and stubborn. All traits that help and hurt my goals.
