A fun, intelligent, friendly, good guy! I wonder how many people there are in this country who are utterly discouraged by the dating scene.... Who are just fed up with it all. Probably tens of millions. Why is it so hard to meet someone you truly click with? Why does society breed such loneliness? I think it has to do with the disintegration of the social fabric, the atomization and destruction of civil society that has been going on for decades so that now people are basiy strangers to each other and there are few "public spaces" left. The whole society has been, and is being, privatized. (Sorry, I'm a Ph.D. student in history; sometimes the historian and political junkie in me comes out.) When I've been in Europe (which I love) I've found it easier to meet people, ironiy. But in the U.S. it's difficult... The situation is bizarre. I'm a kind, intelligent, friendly guy who has a lot of interests and hobbies, including traveling, music-playing, writing, biking, political activism, exploring bars and restaurants around the city, etc. Am I too much of a "nice guy"? Maybe. (Or maybe not.) Also, I have to admit that as I get older I get less interested in the superficial interactions that constitute most of social life (though of course they CAN be fun and so on). I'm not much of a partier anymore. I'm definitely an "intellectual," though far from a pretentious one. An intellectual who finds most (not all) intellectuals rather boring and predictable. A Refreshing Change Are you like me, married but missing that spark that comes from meeting someone new and feeling desired by them? Don't get me wrong, marriage is great. I've been married for over 5 years and love my wife, but sexually we just aren't on the same page anymore. I miss feeling wanted and desired and being able to experience someone new in a sexual way. Feel like so much of my life these days has settled into me playing the role of provider. I'm a good husband and father but feel like I am living my life for others and really want to take a step away from "real life" by meeting a married woman who has these same sorts of feelings and is also looking to reignite a spark she hasn't felt in years.

I'm considered good looking by most women. I just over six feet tall, have beautiful blue eyes and short brown hair, average body type. I don't sweat the small stuff... and consider myself to be an excellent lover. I love kissing and think it is a lost art. I enjoy pleasing my partner as much as I enjoy being pleased myself.
Who am I looking for? A married woman for sure - the idea of being with a single just scares the death out of me. I'd like someone that I can connect with but am also at a certain stage in life and family and want to be with someone who "gets me" because they are at the same place and feeling the same things. I've also been attracted to girl next door types with a pretty face. Personality is also very important. I have never really been all that hing up on things that many other guys seem to focus on and could care less about your age, weight or breast size. I have no issues with a woman having curves and find many suburban moms to be more attractive and appealing to me than some model in a magazine.
I have no expectations about how often we need to get together. I'm open to meeting once to see if the chemistry and spark is there for us to both want more - although ideally I am searching for something that would be ongoing.
